Fight

This is February 22, 2020,

An ordinary day.

The sky is still clear, the sun is still shining,

and the sparrows on the branches were singing as usual.

But dear friend, do you notice that?

There is a war, a war without guns and smoke,

a war which everyone in China is involved,

a war of life and death.

This is a fight with the virus,

which robs people’s rights to enjoy the festival,

which takes travels’ chances to go back home,

which loots students’ opportunities to go to school,

which makes people painful, sick, ill, and die.

This virus, this virus is rampaging,

the fear is arising,

some patients are dying.

But, but all the people are fighting.

The police are fighting for the chaos,

The doctors are fighting with the death,

The sentients are fighting for the treatment.

And you and I, we are fighting for doubts, rumor, ignorance and irrationality.

But we never afraid,

for fighting is the spirit this nation has inherently,

the spirit that helps the country to go through many dark days,

go through wars, poverty, starvation, and natural hazards,

and just like every times before,

This time, we will still win in the end.

That’s China, a country never afraid of challenges.

So, dear friend, now you may know

why do I say today is ordinary day even the virus is raging.

Because Chinese people never stop fighting for a bright future,

They fought yesterday, they fight today, 

and they will fight in every single day in the future.

战斗

这是2020年2月22日，

一个平常的日子。

蓝天依旧晴朗，阳光依然耀眼，

麻雀也一如往常，在枝头鸣叫。

但是，亲爱的朋友啊，你注意到了吗？

那里有一场战役，一场没有硝烟的战役，

一场关乎全体国人的战役，

一场生死攸关的战役。

这是一场和那病毒的殊死搏斗，

那病毒，抢走了人们佳节之喜，

夺走了游子还乡之愿

掠走了学生读书之机

它使人痛苦，让人衰弱，甚至夺人性命。

那病毒，那病毒在肆虐

恐惧在蔓延

病人在垂危，

但,但人们在战斗

警察们与混乱斗争，

医生们与死神斗争

科学家们为药物斗争

而你和我，则在与,怀疑，流言, 无知，不理智斗争。

但我们从不惧怕，

因为我们民族生来就有的精神

那带着这个国家渡过无数黑暗时刻的精神

那渡过战争，贫穷，饥饿，自然灾害的精神。

而这一次，我们也将和之前的每一次一样,

我们将最终取得胜利。

这就是中国，一个不惧挑战的国家。

所以，亲爱的朋友啊，现在你或许知道

为什么经过病毒肆虐，我依然说今天是个平凡的一天

因为中国人永远都在为一个更好的明天战斗

他们昨天在战斗，今天也在战斗

往后的每一天，也将继续战斗。
